Diophantus's Method for Generating Pythagorean Triples

Diophantus, an ancient Egyptian mathematician (he lived in the 200's), created the following way of generating pythagorean triples.

Take any two integers and find:
  • twice their product

  • the difference of their squares

  • the sum of their squares
